Mrs. Tes Hastings switched from Boylan High School to here at Guilford just this year.
“It’s been a big change,” she said. “Along with people on their phones.”
However, despite these challenges, she still finds positives being a new teacher here.
“Honestly, I have really great co-workers. The math department is really open and welcoming,” said Mrs. Hastings.
Besides teaching, Mrs. Hastings has an interest in many activities outside of school.
“I like beach volleyball,” Mrs. Hastings said. “And I love to coach and read books.”
Mrs. Hastings has also recently had an addition to her family, which has kept her occupied outside of school.
“I just had a baby, so I’ve been caring for my kids,” she said.
Mrs. Hastings teaches Integrated Math and Math Literacy.
“Guilford’s great and I’m loving the new change,” she said.
