Mr. Bryce Thomas has been at Guilford for the last year and a half. Many of his students call him “Coach Bryce.” His roles in the school include coaching the Junior Varsity basketball team and working lunch supervision every day.
“It’s my 5th year in this position (as JV coach) and we have gotten better every season. The goal is always to help our program improve year by year and go downstate!” Coach Bryce said.
Teachers and coaches face many challenges, difficulties, and responsibilities, just by being looked up to by many students.
“My biggest challenge here at Guilford would have to be getting enough sleep and keeping up with grading,” he said.
Despite the challenges that staff may have to face there is always some positive to every job.
“Working lunch supervision every day, I enjoy getting to know our students outside of the classroom setting,” said Coach Bryce.
