New iPhone production may be delayed due to Coronavirus
SAN FRANCISCO/TAIPEI – Travel restrictions and quarantines in China caused by Coronavirus have affected Apples production. Previously, Apple engineers were to visit production facilities in China to finalize the production methods for the new iPhones coming this fall, but due to the Coronavirus this is no longer the case. This, coincided with many employees of Apple’s Chinese factory being absent due to the virus, may delay production of Apple’s new line of iPhones.
Apple recently told investors that revenue for the upcoming months would be low and that there would be limited supplies. Travel to China has been limited to “business critical” trips by Apple.
