Deadly riots erupt in India as President Trump visits
NEW DELHI – Over the weekend, Indian capital New Delhi faced riots over a new citizenship law. This law makes it easier for non-muslims from neighboring countries to become Indian citizens. The rioters were targeting Muslims, setting things ablaze, throwing stones, and beating people with sticks. On Monday, following rapidly violence, 12 people were killed and hundreds injured. These riots come as U.S. President Donald Trump visits India for the first time to meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
