Medical Terminology class becomes hands-on
On Monday, April 26, Mr. Jeremy Tews took his Medical Terminology class outside to teach students how to properly backboard their classmates. Backboarding is typically performed by EMT’s when they are called in emergency situations. Mr. Tews pointed out important aspects of properly putting a patient on a backboard, including proper head and spine placement, as well as making sure that patients can still feel their hands and feet before and once loaded onto the backboard.
