SPRINGFIELD – There have been 8,691 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Illinois and 90 more deaths as of Monday, December 7th, 2020. This comes as the statewide polling positivity rate is down to 10.3%. In total, there are currently 796,264 cases of the novel Coronavirus in the state of Illinois, with a total of 13,343 passing due to complications of the disease. Overall nationwide, there are currently 15,383,380 confirmed cases in the United States, and 291,016 deaths.
