Legislation to improve and expand sex-ed curriculum in Illinois public schools
SPRINGFIELD – An Illinois lawmaker wants to enter more in-depth personal and sexual health classes into the public school curriculum. The legislation, if put into place, will make it mandatory for all K-12 public schools to provide information on public safety and personal health. This program is said to be slowly integrated making it easier for schools to adjust to the new curriculum. Each grade will have different levels of age appropriate information to teach students how to be safer better individuals.
