Your social media personal data costs $3.50, says U.S. based think-tank
WASHINGTON – A U.S. based think-tank has been trying to quantify how much people’s personal online data is worth to them. It has quantified the price based on people’s actions in 6 countries (United States, Germany, Mexico, Columbia, Brazil and Argentina). For example, the personal data of U.S. was priced at $3.50, while Germany was priced at $8.00. This research has been addressing concerns about how companies are monetizing people’s personal data.
