Historic United States-Taliban treaty could lead to end of war in the middle east
ISLAMABAD – A senior U.S. State Department official stated that the seven day peace treaty between the U.S. and the Taliban begins today (last Friday). On February 29th, a peace agreement is planned to be signed, which would lead to a possible withdrawal of U.S. troops. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says this could lead to an eventual permanent ceasefire in the region.
