City of Rockford goes 15 weeks without a homicide
ROCKFORD – Rockford has recently gone more than 15 weeks without homicide. This streak coincides with a 17% downturn in the number of violent crimes since last year. This the 6th time in twenty years that the city has gone 100 days without a killing according to the Rockford Register Star’s database.
