Illinois to fight plastic pollution with new legislation
SPRINGFIELD – Two Illinois lawmakers and an advocacy group are working on legislation that would help lower plastic pollution in the state line. It would combat it by targeting single use plastic pollution in the great lakes region. The “Plastic-Free Water for Illinois” platform would reduce single use-plastic in order to keep drinking water clean.
