Ms. Kelsey Blomberg is an English teacher of five years. She taught for three years at Kennedy Middle School and one year at East High School.
“The most surprising thing about Guilford so far is how lovely everyone is,” she stated. “It’s been a really positive experience seeing just how hard all the students are willing to work and how much the staff are willing to work together. It’s really nice and awesome to see.”
As far as challenges go, Ms. Blomberg has had the most trouble trying to challenge the students. With the wide range of abilities of students, it is hard to keep students challenged so they can do their best.
“There is a very strong sense of community here, and a lot of pride in being part of Guilford,” Ms. Blomberg said. “It’s really awesome to be a part of that community where people are proud to work here, where people are proud to go to school here.”
When it comes to hobbies, Ms. Blomberg enjoys reading, spending time with friends, listening to music and spending time outside.
“I’m working on getting my master’s degree right now, and I have a habit of procrastinating that I would like to change. So my personal goal is being on top of my own assignments and to break out of my comfort zone.”
Ms. Blomberg is excited to work and learn here at Guilford.
“I want to help and learn more about the students the best I can,” she said.
