Free scholarships now available to all RPS205 students to NIU

ROCKFORD – On November 10th, Rockford Mayor Tom McNamara announced a new Scholarship opportunity for Rockford Public School District 205 students. The city is putting 1.5 million dollars up to fund scholarships to Northern Illinois University. In order to qualify for a scholarship to NIU, you must go to an RPS205 high school for all four years and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
