There was a marijuana breathalyzer request, but it was turned down and instead an oral test is being considered using suspects saliva to confirm THC levels. Police departments are also working on getting a drug recognition expert to better detect drugs on the side of the road. If a driver’s blood contains a level of five or more nano grams of THC, they will be charged for driving under the influence and will promptly be arrested. Keeping marijuana off of the roadways, and preventing people from driving high increases the safety for all vehicles and individuals travelling
