LONDON/TOKYO – Shaun Bailey, the Conservative candidate for mayor of the British Capital suggested that London be an alternative site for 2020 Olympic games if Tokyo isn’t safe to host due to the ongoing spread of coronavirus. London, previously hosted the games in 2012 but the following years have always been held in Tokyo. Yuriko Koike, Governor of Tokyo, publicly announced on Friday the inappropriate approach London’s mayoral election candidate, Shaun Bailey, made. She believes there is no need for an alternative site. The International Olympic Committee has stated the World Health Organization advises that there is no urgency to cancel the games in Tokyo. Games begin July 24th and, moreover, ticket designs have been unveiled for the Tokyo 2020 games. Colors on tickets representing traditional colors of fabrics on Japanese kimonos. Shaun Baileys offer to host the games in London if needed still remains.
