This summer D.C. Comic’s Wonder Woman hit the big screen after its long awaited arrival and it did not disappoint. This blockbuster film introduced the origin story of Wonder Woman who was originally Diana, Princess of the Amazon, a secluded island inhabited by fierce Amazonian warriors.

The film starts off with the arrival of an American pilot, Steve Trevor, played by Chris Pine. He crashes on the island’s waters and meets Diana, played by Gal Gadot. After learning about the WWI from him, she decides to leave the island and fight alongside Steve to end the war against the Germans.

The cinematography was unbelievable. Each scene was edited to perfection. One of the best scenes in the movie has to be the “No Man’s Land” scene, where Wonder Woman crosses her way through the chaos and deflects bullets with her armor enabling the American side to cross with her.

Wonder Woman’s fight scenes were impeccable, the slow motion shots were so clear. The atmosphere of the movie was beautiful and the remarkable acting only made it better.

Not only was this action packed film about self-discovery and fighting for what is right, but it also encourages young girls that a woman can be the strong, independent super hero and not just the damsel in distress. Beautifully directed by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman, is a must see.
